Ipswich locals lead the charge at Highland Walloon, with interest growing far and wide

16 June 2026

Ipswich locals are leading the charge at Highland Walloon, with new data revealing our fledgling community is striking a strong chord close to home while also attracting growing interest from across Southeast Queensland and beyond.

Almost half of all enquiries for Highland Walloon are coming from within the Ipswich City Council area, highlighting the strong appeal of staying local while upgrading to a new, masterplanned lifestyle.

But Ipswich buyers aren’t the only ones taking notice. Demand is also coming from neighbouring regions, with Brisbane accounting for 10 per cent of enquiries, followed by Logan and the Lockyer Valley, reinforcing Highland Walloon’s position as a well-connected and increasingly sought-after address.

Beyond Southeast Queensland, interest is beginning to stretch further afield, with enquiries recorded from the Gold Coast, regional Queensland centres and even interstate, including New South Wales, Western Australia and Tasmania.

Lennium Group Development Director Ian Worthington said the level of local demand reflected both the strength of the Ipswich market and the appeal of Highland Walloon’s offering.

“It’s clear that Highland Walloon really resonates with people who already know and love the Ipswich region,” he said.

“Buyers are recognising the opportunity to stay connected to their existing networks of family, work and the lifestyle they love, while moving into a brand-new community that offers a very different standard of living.

“At the same time, we’re seeing strong enquiry from much further afield, which speaks to the broader appeal of the location and the value on offer.”

The data also shows Highland Walloon is resonating strongly with a new generation of buyers, with those aged between 25 and 44 making up more than two-thirds of all enquiries.

First home buyers are a key driver of that demand, accounting for 43 per cent of enquiries, closely followed by owner occupiers at 32 per cent – a clear sign the community is attracting those looking to put down long-term roots.

For many, the appeal lies in the balance Highland Walloon offers. It’s a chance to enter the market or upgrade within a growing region, without compromising on lifestyle, connectivity or value.

As interest continues to build both locally and beyond, Highland Walloon is quickly establishing itself as one of the Bremer Valley’s most in-demand new communities.
